Listen to Matt

Following is a collection of self-recorded performances by Matt in his teaching studio, as well as authorized bootlegs of selections from live concerts. Most of the pieces are his original compositions and/or arrangements, played in solo and group formats. For credits on each track, please visit:  soundcloud.com/matthochmiller.

Following is a collection of tracks from an unreleased album that can be found under the band name Hochmiller and Friends on SoundCloud. Along with Matt on piano, the album features Keith Mohler on bass, Dave Zygmunt on drums (tracks 1, 2 and 5), Curt Sipe on tenor saxophone (tracks 2 and 4), and Robin Work on vocals (tracks 3, 6, 8 and 10).

Following is a performance with the Dave Wilson Quartet that was televised on White Rose Community Television in 2013. It features two of the most revered jazz musicians of the Central PA area – Steve Meashey (bass) and Larry Marsall (drums).

The following performance is a favorite of Matt's. It is from a 2011 concert at West Chester University, led by bassist Peter Paulsen and featuring the great Rogerio Boccato, who can be found on multiple Grammy award-winning albums. Warning: the video quality is poor, but the audio is good.

Following is a nostalgic video for Matt, containing one of his favorite recorded solos from a live performance (at the 2006 Long's Park Art Festival in Lancaster, PA). It was posted less than a year after YouTube was launched, on a long-since abandoned channel by the great drummer Tony DeAngelis. Although the quality of the video and audio are both very poor,

the quality of the music itself makes it worth a listen...
